SUPPORTING EMPOWERMENT SERVICES

1.       The Shettima Foundation Gwandu has fully been involved in numerous development processes. The Foundation was able to formally and informally support the following empowerment services to its kinsmen:
2.       Built capacity of young people on the fight against health related diseases, including HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, etc.

3.       Provision of financial and counselling support to Gwandu indigenes studying in various high institutions, especially in Sokoto State.
4.       Under the TASSHI Micro Finance Institution, over 100 youth & women have been trained on business management. 
5.       Under the TASSHI Micro Finance Institution, over 760 youth & women have accessed micro-credit facilities and business advisory services for business start-up and support to existing businesses.
6.       Since 2009, over 150 students have been successfully empowered with knowledge on ICT through Certificate and Diploma programmes in Computer Studies and Office Management.
