The Shettima Foundation Gwandu
has fully been involved in numerous development processes. The Foundation was
able to formally and informally support the following developmental services to
its kinsmen:
1.
Supported the established a youth resource
centre, recreational facilities and HIV Counseling & Testing Centre
2.
Supported activities of Health Promoters
Associations across 10 wards of the LGA and strengthened their capacity on HIV
prevention strategies, advocacy and resource mobilization activities.
3.
Supported the construction of the first rural
based youth & women business development centre in Nigeria located in
Gwandu LGA.
4.
Established the TASSHI Micro Finance Institution
which presently provides limited banking services in the LGA, including
micro-credit, cash deposit, cash withdrawal and business development services.
5.
Supported the management of the Gwandu ICT
Centre since 2009
6.
Established Youth Skills Acquisition Centre in
Gwandu LGA where young people are trained on modern skills and services with a
view of creating employment opportunities for our teeming underserved youth and
other community members.
